Providing health care insurance for employees is one of the top concerns challenging small business owners. Passage of the Affordable Care Act addresses many of these challenges. This workshop will provide small business owners an overview of the law and key points that affect them. An overview of the new Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) that gives small businesses new health insurance options and a simpler way to cover their employees will be discussed. Federal contracted “navigators” will be on hand to provide more assistance to small business owners.
