Luis D Ramirez

Mechanical Engineer from the  Simón Bolivar University with a Specialization in Maintenance from the University of Zulia and a MBA from the University of South Carolina.  He has completed extensive studies in Marketing, Organization and Strategic Management in Schools of Businesses like Wharton, Harvard, Stanford, University of Michigan and Thunderbird.

Luis has occupied diverse technical and managerial positions with national responsibility in the Venezuelan oil industry. As an expert in marketing of finished and packaged products, he teamed up in workgroups to define strategies for the development of new markets in Latin America, Europe and the United States as well as for the development of a first draft of the law for the liberation of the market of hydrocarbon derivatives in Venezuela.  Also, Luis has evolved as a Management Consultant and entreprenuer both in Venezuela and in the United States.

Luis David Ramirez has ample experience in corporate planning, evaluations of projects and strategies of penetration and development of markets and businesses. Luis joined GBS Group in 2007 as head of our marketing and strategies division.
